Shalom Blac, a Nigerian born makeup artiste, who survived a hot oil burn as a young girl in Nigeria, just faced one of her biggest fears as a burn survivor.
Raised in America, this beauty Influencer has over time, become a huge inspiration to many young girls and burn survivors alike, with an Instagram followership numbering half a million.
Her style and beauty tutorials keep her fans glued to her page.
In a recent video on her YouTube, Shalom shared her survival story with fans all over and talked about having insecurities and being able to deal with hers.
Running with the hashtag #FacingMyFears, she went on to surprise her fans when she invited a guest JCook, whom she called her crush, to strip her off her makeup and wig. (yikes!)
It was an emotional scene that put her courage in full display. Here’s what she had to say to her viewers:
I am so excited to announce my first #FACINGMYFEARS series with you all, this is going to be an ongoing series of me facing some of the challenges in my everyday life and hopefully overcoming them. In this episode, I decided to reveal myself to a particular person in my life at the moment. What would he think? WATCH TO FIND OUT!

Not to sound too ceremonial but Nelson Mandela was right when he said:
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
It #TGIF !!! So we hope this inspires you to #FaceYourFears, go out and be happy, and live your bravest like Shalom.
