If you ever watched Fifty or are a big fan of The Wedding Party 1 and 2, or you just love Bolinto and the other ladies at the Moments Show, then you already know the MoAbudu is an amazing films and programmes producer.
When a media mogul and film producer meets with one of Nigerians top prolific authours, Wole Soyinka, to have lunch with, then you that know it will be big. Something big is coming to our screens really soon.
Starting EbonyLife TV in 2006, Mo Abudu has been known to tell our stories through filmmaking in interesting, funny and compelling ways. Now, she’s set to do it again.
Mo Abudu earlier in the week acquired the right to turn the national literary icon’s Death and The King’s Horsemen into a feature film. If you have read this particular piece or any of the Nobel laureate‘s literature, you already know that we’re talking about a well-told story in written form.
Chimamanda’s Half of a Yellow Sun is the latest Nigerian book to have been adapted to film. It came out pretty nicely and caused a lot of excitement and varying reactions, home and abroad. Now, this- Wole Soyinka’s 1975 play.
We sure can’t wait for this one!
