Young Money Rapper Lil Wayne  filed a lawsuit, asking the judge  to give him his  liberty off Cash Money Records.

According to Rap-Up Lil Wayne claims BirdMan  breach the terms of their deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars, Cash Money owes him for his long-delayed album, “Tha Carter V.”

Lil Wayne said since Cash Money don’t want to pay him, he is going to cancel the contract.

Not only did Lil Wayne wants his liberty he also suing for $51 million.

Lil wayne also wants the judge to give him  joint copyright ownership of all Young Money recordings including those of Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and more. He plans to take his artists along off Cash Money.


If Birdman pays Lil Wayne, lil Wayne will allow Cash Money to release Tha Carter V. Lil wayne was supposed to get an $8M advance when he started recording in December 2013 and another $2M when he completed the album a year later, but so far he’s got nothing.
