President Goodluck Jonathan has said all the elections held in Nigeria from 1960 till date were rigged. The president said, no election since Nigeria’s independence in 1960 has been free and fair, the electorates have been selling their votes.
The president of Nigeria also urged Nigerians, especially the youths not to sell their votes to any political party in the forth coming elections, saying, it wont be allowed to happen.
The President said this in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State while addressing a massive crowd who came to support his reelection campaign at Abakaliki Township Stadium.
Goodluck Jonathan also stated in the campaign that, his greatest wish is to see a woman emerge as a governor or a president of Nigeria in years to come. The president said, his reason for appointing women in his government is to prepare and expose them for greater challenges and posts of governance in the country.
