Curvy model Amber Rose has been given her own talk show on VH1, the network announced on Tuesday, May 3.
The television show is set to debut this summer and will feature the model, 32, interviewing her celebrity pals and chatting with guests about such topics including entertainment, motherhood and relationships.
Dr. Phil McGraw and his son Jay McGraw’s Stage 29 Productions is behind the project, and a premiere date has not yet been announced.
Rose said in a statement, “I am very excited to be joining forces with such an amazing network to deliver a fresh perspective on the primetime talk show. Join us as we break all the rules and redefine late-night. Watch out, [Tonight Show host Jimmy] Fallon — here comes MUVA!”
VH1 executive Chris McCarthy adds, “A true multi-hyphenate, [Rose] is a devoted mother, a strong advocate for women’s rights and a celebrated author, all of which make her an ideal host. Amber is a perfect addition to the VH1 family because our audience is interested in hearing unique perspectives from those who are unapologetically themselves and not afraid to take a stand on issues they are passionate about.”
“Uhh Ohh,” Rose wrote to her 10.8 million followers on Instagram. “Muva has a Talk Show on @vh1 Produced by @DrPhil I finally have a voice & ur gonna love what I have 2 say.”
Rose, who has a 3-year-old son named Sebastian with ex-husband Wiz Khalifa, has appeared on many television series previously including “Black-ish”, “Inside Amy Schumer”, “Selfie,” “Fashion Police, ” and “The Doctors.”
Many will remember Amber as a previous girlfriend to Kanye West. Amber and Kanye have fueded in the past on Twitter and the girl is certainly not afraid to say what is on her mind!
Hopefully Amber’s talk show will last longer than Khloe Kardashian’s FYI series, “Kocktails With Khloe.” The show premiered in January and ended in April.
