It took P-square 2 years to come up with this New album ” Double Trouble ” which is their 6th since 2003. Their last new album was released in 2011 which was titled “Invasion”.
Two weeks prior to the full album release date, the Okoye brothers released three appetizing and sensitizing singles:
the groovy, old and inspiring, “Ejaojo” ft. T.I, The hit banger “Shekini” and the motivational “Bring It on” ft. Dave Scott.
You might not be able to express your view/
understanding of how the title “Double Trouble” came about If you are yet to listen to the ‘Double Trouble’ album by P- Square. However, I can tell you categorically
that it is not a double album release; it could mean the coalition of two talented brothers on one album.
‘Double Trouble’ is a 13-track album, with three bonus songs that rocked Nigerian clubs at the time of release – “ Testimony”, “Alingo” and “Personally”. It is a good album
with a nice fusion of sounds. It is not a waste of money if it is purchased.
This is the official review of StarNaija.com on P-square’s “Douuble Trouble”
This song is actually hitting the clubs at the moment. Shekini which followed the shoki music trend will definitely get you on your dancing shoes. It is a nice one as far as dancing is concerned.
2. Missing You
This one is a love song. If you want to think about a loved one, maybe your wife or someone you cherish so much, then this is the track for you. The chorus is breath taking.
3. Bring It On Ft Dave Scott.
This one is just great Dave Scott killed it. The song is a motivation. This song can actually make you get up, hustle and find legal ways to make ends meet. This is what I call good music.
4. MMS [Mugu Money Spender]
I doubted if it is the same P-square that sang “Chop My Money” that also sang this song. The song is danceable, the beat is also a good one. But I am kind of confused here with the lyrics “I no won be your Mugu Money Spender”. I was wondering if P-squares money is getting finished lol.
There is actually no P-square album without a love song. Ifeoma will definitely touch your heart. The lyrics is sweet and romantic. I am certain that you will enjoy it.
6. Ejeajo ft T.I
Well, This song has been heard already by so many of us and the video has been watched too. it was a selected song for promotion of “Double Trouble” album. “Ejeajo” received some criticism from music lovers, but it is a good old Skool tune which old Skool music lovers will enjoy. Meanwhile T.I Killed it with a very good rap.
7. Collabo Ft Don Jazzy
We have our Mavin boss on this one. The beat was great I must say. Don Jazzy in a song? That song is definitely going to be a great one. It was a good idea to feature Don Jazzy on this one.
An inspiring love song. The Chorus is in Igbo dialect. Even if you don’t understand the Igbo Language you will enjoy this song. That is how inspiring the rhythm is.
9. No Be Joke
This is a confirm R&B song. That is why they call them the Ushers of Africa. R&B lovers please listen to this without wasting time.
10. Enemy Solo feat. Awilo
You already know what to expect from am Awilo featured song. It is dance, dance, dance and more dance. This is a banger I tell you.
11. Sari Sari
This one is for their Igbo kwenu brothers. The song sounds like a hit to me. The type of song you play while heading to your village in december. This song dey sweet me sari sari
12. Zombie feat Jermaine Jackson
Michael Jackson’s brother is on this one and That makes it more interesting. Permit me to use the word “Dope” for this song.
13. Aje Love
I don’t have anything to say about this one. Just listen and enjoy.
I give this album a 7/10… I really enjoyed it I must say. don’t forget to drop your review.
